Mrs. Theresa Moran Died At Age Of Seventy-Two Yrs.


Came To America From Bohemia At Age of 24; Invalid 40 Years.


Death claimed Mrs. Theresa Moran, widow of the late Amab Moran Sr. of New Prague, at her home in Lanesburg township on Monday afternoon of this week, November 2nd, at 5:15 o’clock.


She had been ill the past forty years, being virtually an invalid, her affliction being an organic heart disease. On the day of her death she suffered a severe attack and lived but a short time thereafter.


She was born in Czechoslovakia seventy-two years ago. As a young lady of twenty-four, she came to America with her mother, brother and sister. They settled in Lanesburg township, and four years later Theresa was married to Amab Moran, the ceremony taking place at the Veseli church.


They continued residing in Lanesburg township after their marriage. Eleven years ago, Mr. Moran passed away. The death of Mrs. Moran now leaves bereaved one daughter and three sons. They are: Amab Moran Jr. of near Webster; Miss Theresa at home; Joseph of Minneapolis, and Frank, at home. One son died in infancy. Mrs. Moran is also survived by one sister, Mrs. Josephine Jelinek of New Prague. There are ten grandchildren.


Funeral services will be held this morning, Thursday, at ten o’clock from the Church of St. Wenceslaus, Rev. Cyril Popelka officiating.
