BILL A. LEIDY, 72, died Wednesday at Evergreen Manor Nursing Home, Montpelier. Born in Montpelier, he retired in 1991 from Norfolk Southern Railway after 27 years as a car and locomotive foreman. He was a Korean War Army veteran. Surviving are his wife, Joan K.; three daughters, Laurie Castor of Pioneer, Rae Aschliman of Bellevue and Cindy McNamara of Corbin, Ky.; three sisters, Jean Stanton of Montpelier, Cathryn Courtney of Ravenna and Wilma Koch of Worthington; and eight grandchildren. Services at 5 p.m. Saturday at Thompson Funeral Home, Pioneer. Calling from 1 to 4:30 p.m. Saturday before services. Military rites by Pioneer Veteran Organizations. Memorials to Evergreen Manor Nursing Home.
