Maurice Baker
A funeral will be at 11 a.m. Friday, May 21, 1999, in Lincoln Memorial Park Funeral Home for Maurice Baker, who died May 16 at age 71.
Mr. Baker was born Aug. 5, 1927, in Portland. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps during World War II and later received an engineering degree from Oregon State University. In 1963, he settled in Portland, where he worked as a stockbroker, engineer and independent consultant. In 1951, he married Janet Abelson; they divorced in 1978.
Survivors include his ex-wife of Portland; daughters, Kyle Baker and Kris Bakouros, both of Portland, and Alison Colhouer of Lake Oswego; brother, Ron of Tigard; and seven grandchildren.
Private interment will be in Willamette National Cemetery. The family suggests remembrances to the American Diabetes Association.
