KARL D. LEIBOLD
Karl D. Leibold, 73, of Morwood, died Friday, July 3, 2009, after a battle with cancer. He was the husband of Frances I. (Gardner) Leibold for 22 years.
Born in Phoenixville, he was the son of the late Martin Emmanuel and Sara Elizabeth (Young) Leibold.
He was employed by the Bucks County Roads and Bridges Department, and later Bucks County Department of Public Works, where he retired as a carpenter.
His hobbies included books, genealogy, research and woodworking.
He was a member of Covenant Presbyterian Church, Harleysville.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by five children: Kenneth Leibold, and his wife Christine of Jim Thorpe, Pa.; Jeffrey Leibold, and his wife Melissa of Virginia; Stephen Liebold, and his wife Cindy of New Hampshire; Ruth Liebold of Lansdale; Peter Liebold of Doylestown; eight grandchildren and one great grandchild. He was preceded in death by a son, Karl Liebold Jr.
A memorial service was held Wednesday, July 8 at 2 p.m. at Covenant Presbyterian Church, Harleysville.
