John Cossaboon

DAVENPORT - John Edward Cossaboon of Davenport, died Monday morning at Genesis Medical Center-West Central Park, Davenport, after a brief stay in the hospital. Mr. Cossaboon, a veteran of Vietnam had been in ill health for several years and finally succumbed to lung cancer.
Mr. Cossaboon grew up in the Collegeville, Pa., area and attended Methacton High School there. He worked as an auto mechanic for most of his working life. He entered the Army and was stationed at Camp Casey in Korea after doing basic at Fort Bragg.
Mr. Cossaboon is survived by one son, Jesse Arnold Cossaboon of Davenport; four stepsons, Michael Noel of Davenport, Brian Hammill (Sarah Wellmeier) of Moline, Jason King of Davenport, Kerry King of Davenport; two stepdaughters, Beth Lindsey (John) and Misty Dawn Rose (Shane Suckey) of Davenport; one sister, Linda McDonnell (Sean) of Davenport; and four brothers, Charles Cossaboon of Rock Island, George Cossaboon (Wendy) of Wheeler, Wis., Arnold Williamson (Marilyn) of Davenport, and Robert Williamson (Roseanne) of Davenport. Mr. Cossaboon was also blessed with many nieces, nephews and step-grandchildren.
He was proceeded in death by both his parents, Charles Cossaboon and Sadie Mildred Dean, his stepfather, Arnold Williamson, and one sister-in-law, Eva Jo Cossaboon.
Funeral arrangements are pending through McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Home in Bettendorf. Family requests donations be sent to the funeral home in lieu of flowers.
