M. ANNE ARRASMITH SUTTON

Anne Arrasmith Sutton, 99, passed away peacefully April 1, 2006 at Sharon Lane Nursing Home. She was born April 12, 1906 in Dearborn, MO to Lee and Martha Day, the youngest of seven daughters and one younger brother. She graduated from Faucett High School and in 1926 she married Ira Dallam and came to Kansas City. They had two sets of identical twin girls and one boy. Anne was a homemaker and loved sewing for herself and her children. She was married to M. E. Arrasmith, DDS of Prairie Village, KS for 37 years until his death in 1990. She was married to C. D. Sutton of Overland Park, KS for 4 years until his death in 2001. She enjoyed playing the organ, dancing, traveling, playing bridge and spending time in her flower garden. She belonged to the KC Garden Club and the KC Organ Club. She was a member of Old Mission United Methodist Church for 40 years. She lived in her home until 2004. Anne was preceded in death by her parents, sisters, Maudie, Elsie, Flossie, Fannie, Hazel and Helen, and brother, "Bud". Also, Eleanor Davis in October 2005, eldest twin to Patricia, and Helen Dallam in 1964, twin to Dorothy Brooks. She is survived by her daughter Patricia and Jim McAtee of Kansas City, MO (her children Michael Doran and Diane Cline) son, Lawrence and Mary Dallam of Minneapolis, MN (his children Stephanie, Katie, Thomas and Elizabeth) and daughter Dorothy and Loren Brooks, Lee's Summit, MO. Anne is also survived by daughter Eleanor's three daughters Gwen Becker, Charlene Huff, Elaine Davis and their father George Davis, Jr. Anne had 10 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren. A memorial service will be held Saturday, April 8 at 3 p.m. at Old Mission United Methodist Church, 5519 State Park Road, Fairway, KS. Private burial in Memorial Park Cemetery. Contributions may be made to Hospice Care of KS. Many thanks to the staff at Sharon Lane and the nurses in unit 300 for their loving care.
