Frank Colehour, 94, Passes Away Tuesday
Frank E. Colehour, 94, of Rockford, father of Mrs. Joe (Maude) Lempke, 1203 W. 21st St., Rock Falls, died Tuesday morning in a Rockford nursing home.
Mr. Colehour was a founder of the Colehour Insurance agency in 1893 and remained active in the business until his retirement 15 years ago.
The deceased was born April 12, 1865 in Mount Carroll, the oldest of six brothers. He moved to Rockford in 1890. Since then he has been an active member of the State Street Baptist Church of Rockford.
Colehour was the oldest active member of the Lions Club in the United States.
Surviving are his widow, the former Myrttie Rhodie whom he married in 1954, two sons, Francis H. and Harwood G., both of Roikford, and Mrs. Lempke.
