Obituary of William Loren Day

Biwabik, July 7 - (Special to The Herald.) - William Day, a well known resident of the range for several years past, had his life crushed out by the wheels of a truck loaded with lumber at the Colvin & Robb sawmill at Bassett on Thursday. Day was riding on the load and in some manner fell off and his body was nearly cut in two under the truck. The body was brought to Seeley's morgue here and the funeral will be held here on Sunday. Day was about 50 years of age and was a brother of Mrs. Johnson of McKinley. Mr. Jones, another employee at Colvin & Robb's mill, had his arm broken in two places on Thursday, and was brought to the Bray hospital here.
