Vivian Ulvestad Tiede

Tiede, Vivian Ulvestad Age 98, secure in her faith in God and surrounded by her family's love, died peacefully on 8/12/11. Mother, registered nurse, choir director, hostess, active member of St. Paul Lutheran in Le Center, MN, and beloved wife for 66 years of her dearest John (d. 12/6/2000). Vivian and John were active in the Minnesota and National Dental Associations. They served with joy as a dentist/nurse team at the Lutheran Mission Hospital in southern Madagascar. Vivian loved music and taught generations to sing. Survived by her children, Judith of Fridley, James (Marilynn) of Spicer, and David (Muffy) of White Bear Lake, five grandchildren, and fifteen great grandchildren. Memorials will be welcomed for the Franz and Edith Tiede Scholarship Fund at Luther Seminary. A private burial was held on 8/15/11. A memorial service will be held at 3 PM on Saturday, Sept. 17 at Friendship Village, 8100 Highwood Dr., Bloomington, MN.
